The fifteen-storey Dream Hotel opened in 2004 in the centre of the Bai Chay tourist area of Ha Long City next to the Post Office Hotel.
Guests are greeted with refreshments and a welcome drink. The foyer is very light and airy, thanks to its glass walls. The lightness extends into the rooms - they're a good size, well equipped and have firm beds. Standard bathrooms are on the small side, but are good quality.
The Executive Suites are well proportioned, and can be extended via a connecting door to a Superior room - useful for family and friendship groups.
On the second floor there's a large cafe with a bar and a stage suitable for live music performances. The restaurant is well designed and attractive.
The hotel restaurant is attractive with good furniture and unobtrusive decor. The menu offers a good range of Western and Asian dishes at sensible prices, and provides a good breakfast. The drinks list is reasonably priced and includes a decent house wine.
In summary, the Ha Long Dream's convenient location, comfortable accommodation and friendly service makes it a welcome newcomer on the Ha Long hotel scene.
